Question
Can you recommend trees I can put around
my pool.  I cannot put palms or redwoods
(HOA rules).  I would like a combination
of evergreen and deciduous (did I spell that
right?), and don't mind skimming some leaves/
flowers if it's only for a month or so.  As
long as the plant matter doesn't stain
the pool easily.  I'm in Sacramento,CA
Zone 9.  Thanks in advance.  This is my
first time using this service.

This is a hard question to answer over the Internet.  What I would suggest is to contact a local garden cneter or landscape designer because you will want these planting to look fabulous.  If you want to do the work yourself, hire the designer to produce a plan only or simply as a consultant to go with you to pick plants, discuss pros and cons, etc.
