QuestionGary,
My husband and I live used to live in Arizona where having a lawn would have been expensive up keep. Now we have move to Utah and we have a two year old son and I really want lawn for him to play on and my husband absolutely does not want lawn at all. He really like the look that we had in Arizona, but that look will not exactly work here in our neighborhood where people have lawns. Another problem is I do not want flower beds. They are to much hassle for me. I would like lawn with trees or shrubs, but my husband absolutely wants none of that. What type of compromise would there be for a situation like that?
Erica
AnswerErica,
There is not much to work with here. On one hand you want lawn w/trees and shrubs and your husband wants desert.
Practically speaking you need to have a landscape that conforms to your neighborhood. Primarily this will maintain the value of your home.
No matter what I recommend you and your husband need to compromise on this project.
Good luck in the garden.
