QUESTION: 35 years ago there was a well , after that it was poured. now i am going to build a building on it, but at the time of digging, now we found soft land, so i can't make footing on it. so please give me best type of footing. in wating u r repply.

AnswerDo you have any pictures of this?
I am reluctant to give you any advise on a footing without seeing what you are dealing with.
If you cannot pack the subsoil under your footing, your project may be doomed. Your best course of action here is to have some heavy equipment brought in for proper compaction. What sort of building is it going to be? How heavy is the building? Is this a shed? A house? Thanks for writing back as well. This is sounding more like an engineering issue now. Let's re-open this question with as much information as you can to a construction professional, or engineer that deals with soil. Thanks Kevin
