Question
We had a brick patio put in our backyard about 10 yrs ago.  They used a wooden frame and now it is rising due to what we believe is the weather.  Now the frame is about 2 inches higher than the patio and cause for tripping. Should we dig a trench around and pound the frame down deeper or should we take out the old frame and replace is with something else?  Thank you so much for your response.  Denise

Pound it down, if that doesn't work consider pulling it out and excavating under it...but it might be hard to fit it back if the bricks move when you pull it out. You might also use a wood shaving device and simply plane it down to the level you need if pounding it does not work.
