I have just found your web page on lavender pruning... so helpful. what I am looking for is a wholesale garden nurseries as I want to buy in bulk. in my area there are only very expensive garden centers. I have a very large piece of unkept land and I am trying to make it low maintenance as I clear. I have managed to kill all the brambles on the terraces and]d have this year started to weed them .I want to buy in bulk ground cover plants and shrubs that will suit the slight slopes, i have planted wild flowers on the cleared flat areas and put grass down between the slopes to keep as paths, the weeds grow so quickly that I need to buy en masse to cover the ground quickly but as only on a pension need a wholesalesupplier, my area is massa carrara. maybe La spezia.  or Lucca ??? can you help me many thanks Mary

Hi Mary, glad that you find the site useful!

Ok, I don't have any large nurseries in those areas, however it would be worth considering buying from Pistoia and having them transported to you. Transport cost is relative and the plants are of superior quality in Pistoia because of the soil and better plantsmanship of that area.

Try Vannucci plants of Pistoia at www.vannuccipiante.it and ask for Francesco. Please mention that I reccomended them to you.
