QuestionMy tree has begun to develope dead branbches from the ground upwards. the leaf like portion is dying gradually. first noticed several weeks ago. Live in atl. ga area. had a drought for several years and now having enough rain. three trees in a row but only one has problem. Could it be a fungus? Can I spray with copper solution or what?
AnswerItalian Cypress sprout from the base naturually. Could be a lot of conditions. No matter, as I am not an arborist, but more of a site design and irrigation generalist.
My suggestion is that you call a Georgia/local, certified ISA, tree arborist (not a "tree trimmer", although they may be listed in the phone book under that heading). Most will give you a FREE initial consultation.
Look for ISA certification. It is important. They have been a great resource for my specific tree problems in the past.
