Question
My tree has begun to develope dead branbches from the ground upwards.  the leaf like portion is dying gradually.  first noticed several weeks ago.  Live in atl. ga area.  had a drought for several years and now having enough rain.  three trees in a row but only one has problem.  Could it be a fungus?  Can I spray with copper solution or what?

Italian Cypress sprout from the base naturually.  Could be a lot of conditions.  No matter, as I am not an arborist, but more of a site design and irrigation generalist.

My suggestion is that you call a Georgia/local, certified ISA, tree arborist (not a "tree trimmer", although they may be listed in the phone book under that heading).  Most will give you a FREE initial consultation.  

Look for ISA certification.  It is important.  They have been a great resource for my specific tree problems in the past.
