QuestionWe have recently purchased a doublewide mobile home that is 66 feet across the front. The front receives evening shade and morning sun. What would could we plant that would not really expensive but look nice?
Thank you

AnswerThere are 5 basic considerations for a plant and how well it might do in a particular location: climate zone, soil, sun orientation, water requirements, and any critter/bug challenges.

The USDA has assigned plant hardiness zones for all of the US and Canada also has a similar system of climate zones. Find yours in the US here: http://www.growit.com/zones/
IF you know the general considerations already and you just want a 損lant?here is my favorite generic plant selector:

If your particular zone is not listed there, then try your local nursery or University Agriculture Extension office for suggestions specific to your area. They can help you with cost considerations, too.
