Question
Hi, I have a lot that when you are driving down the street it has a tight bend.  My house is on that bend.  I am in Massachusetts.  Right now I have 2 driveways on each side of my ranch home.  From each driveway there is a walkway leading to the front door.  Also ther is a walkway smack in the middle of the property from the street (3 walkways.  Looks like a T shape when standing in the street in front of my home.  I have a post and rail only on the street side.  This post and rail is on each side of the middle walkway.  On each side of this walkway (in the middle is a maple tree on each side.  Also, there are ewes (sp?) in back of the post and rail.  One is planted in front of every post.  The problem is:  Too much grass.  The sun beats on this property all day long in the summer.  The maples are great but the grass has been replaced 2 times by a professional.  The water bills here are more and more expensive.  I honestly want to get rid of the grass or as much of it as possible.  I would say it is 32 feet long by 15 feet of grass on each side of the main walkway.  Do you have any suggestions?  I could take a picture if you wish.  Please let me know.  Thank you for your attention.  Gina

I understand the problems of maintaining grass in a hot climate. Therefore I devised the ecologica system - to transform these areas into low-water, low-maintenance areas with an Italian theme.
