Question
lawn
Hello. How can i fix this? north east
Answer 1. Identify the condition(s) which led up to the situation.
a) Cultural: like watering, scalping etc.
b) Insects: Soap flush on the edge of the dead patch to include some good turf.
c) Man made: Spillage of solid or liquid, parking or storing something on the area.
d) Disease: If none of the above then it is probably a disease (fungus).
The Extension Service in the County where you live is a tremendous resource.
2. Correct the condition: replace soil, adjust sprinklers, apply products labeled for the problem on
residential lawns.
3. Re-sod and follow the recommendations of the supplier. Fungus will be the thing to watch for.
If it sounds like work, some of it can certainly be; but it is interesting and deeply satisfying.
