QuestionHello,
I purchased 1.25 acres of Desmodium tortuosum (Florida beggarweed), mixed with St. Augustine "grass". There's too much of it for me to dig it all out, and much of it comes back anyway.
I looked at this website: www.ehow.com/how_8656939_control-desmodium-tortuosum.html. I found a few herbicides online with sulfentrazone in it, but I don't know which one would be the best to get.
What would be the best choice for an herbicide? I already purchased a 1 gallon sprayer.
Thanks!,
Jeff
AnswerJeff,
I cannot answer your question because there are too many variables.
For instance, in Florida, only a certified operator can use atrazine to control broad-leaf weeds in St. Augustine; but not during the warmer months. Some products cannot be used on residential lawns etc. etc.
I suggest that you contact your local County Extension Office for the best information.
