Question
I recently laid sod on my front yard and some of it has turned brown even though I watered it.  I have been treating it with a mixture of beer and ammonia in hopes it will react as my grass did in the back yard.  Is there any hope of restore or should I just pull it up and start over?

Answer
The mixture if Beer and Ammonia is not a "cure-all". If you can find out the real reason why it went brown then you can attack that cause. Until you do that, you may well have a repeat of the failure.
"If you do the same thing under the same circumstances, you can expect the same result".
