QuestionHi Ronald,
My lawn has some bold spots where gophers ate my grass. Now all you can see is dirt in those areas. I tried putting fertilizer to see if new grass will grow but I haven't seen any improvement so far. I would like to know if its possible for the grass to re-grow on those affected areas or what can I do so my grass does not have any bold patches?
Also, my gardner just cut my grass recently. Prior to him cutting it, it had a nice, dark green color, but a minute after he cut it, its color changed immediately to a lime-green color. Is this normal? or did he do something wrong?
Answer Gophers generally hunt insects, especially grubs; so you need to check for those.
A runner-type grass will grow into a bare spot but a seed-type grass will not. You will have to sow seeds in the latter case.
I cannot explain the change in color of the grass after the lawn was mowed.
