Hi Gene, I live in San Diego, Ca. and would like to plant some grass in my backyard but would like to know what type of grass is recommended for my zone. Also,my backyard tends to get lots of sun specially during the summer.

Elas, I do alot of business in the San Diego area, Kikuyu Sod is a great turfgrass for your area. If you have dogs, Kikuyugrass will not burn from dog urine, also stays green year around. Kikuyu is a warm season grass. Tall Fescue is a cool season grass and will grow well in your area, but does not hold up to traffic or dogs.
