is there anything i can use to get rid of the grass and weeds in my flower beds without harming the flowers.

My first reaction to your question is to ask you whether or not you have borders or edging between your lawn and your flower beds. If you don't, you may want to consider adding plastic or metal borders a few inches into the ground to stop the grass and weeds from invading your flower bed. That would help avoid this problem in the future.

However, I'm not sure that I am the right person to ask about actually getting rid of weeds or grass in your flower beds.
