Is it late to apply scotts crubex now in september. I searched and found mixed opinions. Can you please advice on what to do now since it is very late?

Answer
Grub control is complex and expensive; so load the dice in your favor. The first step is to decide whether you have grubs. You will have to dig a little deeper than required for other lawn pests. Somewhere near a foot deep, you stand the best chance of finding them. The next step is essential.
Identify the grubs. This will give you the clearest idea as to WHEN to control. You can waste a lot of expensive chemicals by ignoring this step. The County Extension Agent will identify the grub; it takes a microscope to do this. The Agent will know what to recommend for control or indeed, if control is necessary.
But please follow these steps to save your money and the environment.
