QuestionHello,
I have an area of yard that stays completely soaked and is even under water for two to three weeks in the spring. The area was previously left wild, but I cleared it this summer and planted a common blend of grass seed. I'm afraid it won't stand up to the soaking next spring though. Is there a grass seed, or some lawn alternative that does well with lots of water?
I live near wet lands in the Chicago area.
Thanks
Answer Your best plan is to leave the area to Mother Nature and a community of plants that are adapted to the conditions will develop. "Stays completely soaked and is even under water for two or three weeks in the spring" are very challenging conditions to work with.
