Help I burned my lawn

Question
Ok this is my first house, and first lawn.  I live in NYC.  I'm not sure what kind of grass it is.  When I bought the house there was bare spots from dog urine.  I purchased scotts patch lawn repair.  I dug up all the bare spots and burned grass and placed some of the scotts patch lawn repair on it (I did this in may).  It worked pretty good.  all the bare spots grew nice grass.  I just made the mistake of applying some scotts turf builder over my grass.  I had no clue what i was doing or what damage i would cause.  with in 2 days i could see all the spots where i sprinkled the scotts turf builder, they had turned fully brown and burnt.  The grass in those spots looks dead, flat, burned and brown.  I have been watering it every day, twice a day since this happend in hopes of flushing it out.  Should i leave it as is or should i rake up all of that grass and reapply some of the patch lawn repair??  or anything else you can recommend?

Answer
I believe that you will just have to wait this one out; unless you are prepared to dig out the patches with some of the soil, add some clean topsoil and resod/reseed.
It looks as though you over-applied "some scotts turf builder" or you may have used a 'weed & feed' product. It is quite easy to pick up an unintended purchase in the garden center or grocery. I have been chided for making this statement repeatedly but I am convinced that it is the most effective and self-helping advice: Please read the label.
