Good day. I was reading on this site that you can apply sugar to get rid of the violets in my lawn.  Do you use table sugar and apply it like fertilizer or do you dilute it in water and spray it on?  I live in a suburb of Denver, CO where it is extremely dry. Is an increase in watering required and how often should the sugar be applied?  Thank you for your help.

Sugar will not harm violets, or any other weed for that matter. Sorry for any mixed signals, but that's the reality. Can you tell me where you read this? I'd like to report to the site that one of their contributors clearly does not know reality from Internet hoax.
