QuestionQUESTION: help!!!!! how is the best way to rid my yard of purslane? i have been chopping it
out since march! some of the plants are new. i am seeing now some have seeds
(little green burrs) already.i wanted to use a good week killer like bayer
advanced, but i'm worried about the established plants that already have seeds
on them. I live in Texas and i think i'm losing the battle.I want a nice lawn.
ANSWER: If the purslane is in the lawn area, then a selective weed product like "Weed-B-Gone" will do the trick without harming the grass. If it is in a garden area, then you'd need to talk to a gardener about a better approach. As my wife would gladly tell you, I'm not much of an expert in ornamental plants.
Take care Phyllis. Good luck!

QUESTION: thank u for your answer on the purslane., but what i wanted to know is after
using the weed killer, what about those existing burrs that are on the weed
itself. Will they fall off and grow again? It is growing in the lawn area. The burrs
stick pets and also socks and shoes. Are those burrs also seeds? HELP!

Follow that link. Can you let me know if that is a picture of what you are looking at? That's purslane. I don't know of any burrs that it would have. I've seen it many times, but I've never heard of any burrs.
