QuestionHi, I have 2.5 aces and roughly 1.75 is grass. Up until this season the dandelions have been tolerable. This year, I have sections that have by far more dandelions than grass. I went out and got some liquid weed killer, used 1 gallon on probably half an acre and was unable to touch the rest. This was quite a bit of work, and I'm pretty sure it's not done anything (I'd seen so many dandelions, I wasn't even sure what was sprayed.) What is the most cost effective way to go about this? Should I use granules and put it in a seed spreader? For the acreage how much do you think I'll need? What is the best product? (I'd really hate to do this over and over again.) I live for the comfort of me and my pets, I'm not looking for a perfect lawn- I could care less about the other weeds just those dandelions! Thank you!
AnswerHi Jo,
The weed control products on the market should be working fine if used correctly. I know that's frustrating to hear, given that you did all that work, but they really do work well. The only times I've seen them not work is when they are not applied correctly.
Here is a link to a video clip I did a while back. Hopefully it helps a bit.

Good luck Jo. Keep at it. I know you'll get better, and that you'll get these under control.
