QuestionI read that you use sugar to kill/prevent dallis grass. I have a fescue/kentucky bluegrass mix in the bay area of California. My lawn now has dallis grass. how do you apply the sugar and how often. Do you only apply it on the weed or to the whole lawn

No, sugar does not work for this. I seem to spend most of my time on this site explaining to people that this is a myth that seems to have gained web popularity. Please don't waste your time.
For Dallisgrass, you just need to very carefully spot treat the patches with Roundup.
