I have been told that I have sponge grass. Have you ever heard of this type of grass. I live up in michigan when you walk on it it feels like a sponge. I WAS TOLD THAT IT COMES FROM FROM UNDER GROUND SPRINGKLING SYSTEM. i HAVE KILLED IT WITH ROUNDUP BUT it came right back.

I'm not sure who told you this, but I've honestly never heard of Sponge Grass. Perhaps it's a common name used locally? Either way, no living thing ever came from an inanimate object such as an irrigation system. Whatever the problem is, it did not come from plastic pipes. It came from seed that is either indigenous or brought in from elsewhere.

I can't really identify what you are talking about without looking at it, but I would advise you to speak to a local professional who would know better than your current sources of information.
