Question
Hi, i lived in Europe - Romania (the cliamte is like in NYC hot summers, cold winters).

I seeded my lawn in spring last year so this is my first time I experience lawn care after winter.
Comparable with first year, now the lawn is more yellow (most probably because of the hay) and I have the feeling it grows slower.

I scratch it well, I mowed and I used fertilizer.
Since the results were not so obvious after 2 weeks, I am considering using some fertilize again.

My questions are, should I do it and how often is proper to fertilize your lawn during hot season?
If there's any other tip in order to improve it, please let me know.

Hi Vlad,

You should only fertilize about 3 or 4 times per year. Too much will kill the grass.

Wait at least 6 weeks after the last fertilizer. It is probably just too cold right now for the grass to have greened up well.
