QuestionI live in Dallas, what is the better grass for plantain on this area (St Agustine, Bermuda)
thanks arturo
Answer I cannot say which is better for you but I will try to list the important things about each.
Bermuda: A high quality grass often used on golf courses. It requires full sun, regular and frequent irrigation, fertilizer about once a month in the growing season and close mowing weekly. A reel mower does it best.
St. Augustine: A "coarse" grass which requires regular irrigation about every ten days if no rain. Fertilize about two times a year (three would be ideal). Mow at about 3" with a regular (rotary) mower.
