QuestionMy Mid Coast Maine Lawn was hammered last year from grub infestation. After reading several posts, I realize I must
apply a grub control formula sometime in June or July. In
the meantime, when should I start over seeding/fertilizing
to bring my lawn back to life?
AnswerIf the grass is gone, there's no time like the present! You may also have read that Fall is the ideal time to seed, which is true. BUT, if you don't have a lawn now, why wait till the perfect time? Seed now, water diligently, and apply the grub preventer in June. If there are still bare patches in September, you can always re-seed those then.
Good luck!
