Are the weed killers used by for hire landscape companies stronger then what I can purchase at my local Home Depot?
I am on disability, love to work in my yard, but the lawn is loaded with weeds. I have sprayed what I can purchase at Home Depot but my lawn never looks like my neighbors who use a service. Can I get licensed and purchase a stronger chemical?

Typically speaking, the products are pretty similar, but the difference is in the applicator. If you had the right training, and professional equipment, you could get very similar results with the over-the-counter stuff. It's all a matter of timing, and using the right amounts. Sometimes it takes some practice, but you should be able to get better with time.

Licensing is a state by state issue, so I don't know what your state says about someone wanting to obtain a license for home use.
