QuestionWhat can you use on centipede to get rid of Poa sometimes called annual bluegrass? When can you use it. Some products say not to use when dormant or when greening up. Thanks
AnswerIf your lawn is primarily centipede, then I will assume you live in a more southern climate. That being the case, you just need to wait until temperatures are pushing into the upper nineties, and hold off on watering for about 10 days. The centipede will bounce back when you start watering again, but the poa will not.
This will be an annual issue, so plan on doing it yearly. The poa can be pretty persistent, but you can really let nature tale care of this problem for you.
Good luck!
