QuestionI live in north Florida. I have been told my front yard has a fungus problem due to prior drainage problems that will never go away. I have corrected the drainage problem and now want to sod. If I sod with Zorsia grass can I expect it to live? If not, what type of sod should I use.
AnswerAs long as the drainage problems are taken care of, you should expect Zoysia, St. Augustine, Bermuda, or whatever else you choose to do just fine. Just make sure to speak with the sod company about proper follow-up watering procedures. As sod does not have much of a root system, you will need to keep it pretty wet until the roots grow down into the existing soil.
