QuestionMy wife and I bought a new house in Nov of last year. The lawn it beautiful, but once we moved in we noticed that its very bumpy. By bumpy I mean its like sod that was used, if it was used, had gaps in it. Its not just in a few places, its the entire front and back yard. The only thing I can think to do is get ALOT of top soil, spread it out evenly over the top of the yard and hope it fills in the gaps.
Can you offer any other ideas or reasons why and how this happened?
THanks
AnswerHi Jamie,
It sounds like you're a step ahead of me here. If the bumpiness is indeed due to a sloppy sodding job, then your approach would be the best, and only effective one. Just spread out the soil as evenly as possible and let it fill in the gaps. The additional benefit is that the lawn will be getting topdressed, which is always good.
Good luck!
