RE: Lawn seed

Question
Two weeks I reseeded my backyard with tall fescue seeds (also added topsoil) as of today there is no growth.  This is probably attributed to the recent extended rain/minimal sunlight we have experienced here in southern california.  Will these seeds germinate once it gets warmer and the rain deluge ceases?  Can seeds lay dormant and then germinate under ideal conditions?  Or should I again reseed?

Answer
I would definitely give it another two weeks before taking any steps. Seed often lays dormant for a while and will grow when conditions are better. After it does grow in, you can always spot seed the sections that are still thin.

Good luck!
