QuestionFive years ago, we changed our lawn from Bermuda grass to Meyer Zoysia. We live in Atlanta, GA. We have had drought conditions for the past two years, but we have done a pretty good job of maintaining a regular schedule of watering during the summer months. Last summer, we noticed several places in our yard where Bermuda grass is growing in the Zoysia. How can we eliminate the Bermuda without killing the Zoysia?
Answer Getting rid of a 'grassy' weed in a 'broad-leaf' crop or vice versa is comparatively easy. Getting rid of a 'grassy' weed in a 'grassy' or crop (or a broad-leaf weed in a broad-leaf crop) is a different matter and may require the services of a properly certified company. This is because the problem may require the use of specific products not available to the general public.
