my lawn gets very wet when it rains and will remain very swampy for days after a big rain and there is one area in the back that gets a big puddle--where do i start when investigating options to fix it

Answer
I would call local landscape contractors and ask as to their experience and expertise with drainage issues. Every property and drainage problem is different, and they all require unique solutions from somebody who understands the principles of drainage.

After interviewing several, you'll start to gain an understanding as to who seems to really know what they are doing, and who doesn't.
