QuestionWe just recently planted our yard in mid-August and it is coming in beautifully. This morning in a downpour of rain my wife accidently backed out of the driveway and ran into the yard, then pulled forward resulting in the rut. What is the best remedy (including tools/materials) for this situation, and when should I fix it (weather wise). There is grass already growing around the rut, but it is a mud mess right now. Thank You!
AnswerInto every life some rain must fall. When that happens, it is important not to walk or drive on your Lawn. Pressures during high moisture events comes together and compact your Soil. That can only be bad for your Grass.
Fill and even out with a high quality loam and re-sow Seed there. Luckily, it was a good time of year to do that. Not a big problem. Could have been the garage door.
