QuestionI just had a new sod lawn installed this spring and now I have what looks like a dark gray mildew on the grass leafs
in the lawn. The area in question is in bright sun all day long. The lawn is watered 4 days a week in the early AM by sprinklers.Any ideas what it is.
AnswerIt could be the spores of Slime Mold, or in some cases Powdery Mildew. Neither one is much to worry about as they rarely cause any serious problems with the lawn.
This will go away with time and weather change.
