QuestionHow many pounds per 1,000 square feet?
AnswerIf you were going to seed a new Lawn, you would put down 8 to 10 lbs per 1,000 sq ft. For simple overseeding, use half that, 4 to 5 lbs.
In days of yore, the venerable Kentucky 31 -- still on the market but a little outdated now -- was the green rug of choice for homeowners who knew that any Grass they planted would have to take a beating. Kentucky 31 was a Grass that LOOKS as tough as it performs.
However, 'Rebel' and many other newer varieties would also place in the top 5 of any Lawn beauty contest today, without compromising any of the Tall Fescue muscle. They are significantly bigger and tougher than non-Tall Fescues. If you haven't already purchased this, I'd like to recommend you have a look at some other kinds of Grass.
