QuestionI have flortam grass and noticing in areas of the front lawn where the color of the grass is not deep green but almost a lime color. I lost the yard 2 years ago to a fungus and re-sodded with the flortam and up to this point have not been concerned on it's health. I just don't want to lose the yard again and prevent anything that I can.
AnswerHi Liz,
Lawns will often take on varying shades of green over the course of a year. That's pretty normal. As long as it isn't starting to turn brown, you should be safe.
My guess is that it's probably getting hungry and a good organic fertilizer will give it a nice boost of green color.
I do understand your concern. Just keep an eye on it and get back to me if it does start turning brown. Otherwise it is most likely just seasonal color shifts.
