Two Minnesota companies are now licensed to sell Corn Gluten Meal pre-emergent weedkillers:

(1) A company called GreenPro, which appears to be a professional landscaping company (the only address I have listed for them is P.O. Box 9, Stewart, MN  55385; Telephone: (320) 562-2413), and

(2) Nature's Green in Dundas, MN (Telephone: (504) 664-0984; website: www.naturesgreen.biz).  Nature's Green sells its CGM product as 'ChemFree'.  Their products are sold at Garden Patch at 23443 Smithtown Rd, Excelsior, and in St Paul at EcoGarden Supply, 1553 Como Ave.

Note: You should CALL the retailer to make sure it has the product you are looking for.  Ask for the product by name if you can because many (most?) have no clue what you what you would do with Corn Gluten Meal.

There are other licenses who 'export' their products to your state.  Any of these will work just fine:

BE CAREFUL when buying Preen products.  The company also makes and distributes traditional herbicides and pesticides, which I am firmly against.

Fair's Garden Center at 9340 Fairway, Maple Grove MN (763) 425-4212 sells the 'Cock-a-doodle Doo' line of organic products, including a CGM based weedkiller.

Scotts Miracle-Gro has started distributing Whitney Farms Uncle Malcolm's Weed Whompin' Mulch, miracle of miracles.  Their records indicate it is sold at Jerry's of Edina, on Vernon Ave S, Edina (952) 929-4601; Menards on Wayzata Blvd (612) 541-9300; and Frattalone's Ace Hardware at 5016 County Rd 101 (952) 474-5461.

St Gabriel Organics sells its 'Premerge' weedkiller at Franks Nursery, 8040 Glen Lane Eden, Prairie MN.  EcoGarden Supply in St Paul (see above) may also sell Premerge.
