Question
We had 7 pallets of cavalier zoysia laid at our lake houseon a thursday mid day and Sunday am (3.5 days later) come back to find the irrigation pump that was working Wed. pm had lost its prime and the new grass was not watered for those days. The most sun exposed areas were pretty yellow and crisp the shaded stuff still had some green to it. The back side of the sod was not exactly moist but it certainly was not so dry that it was crumbling either. once we got the water going, the grass softened quite a bit. The weather was breezy and 97-99 degrees.
Do you think it is possible for the grass to survive if we water  the heck out of it. We are counting our blessings because we got ~1.5 inches rain last night after very dry June

Odds will tip in your favor if you apply asap a product called 'Messenger'.  Technically a Harpin Protein product, Messenger accelerates recovery following trauma or disease.  In plants, that is.

It is best sprayed on, with the excess dumped into the soil to aid the roots.
