Question
My landscaper wants to hydroseed about April 1st. I live in northern Iowa where the last freeze averages April 28th. Is this too early to put the hydroseed down?

I need to know what kind of grass you have? I hope he is trying to hydroseed cool season grasses as you told me your location. Be sure ther should not be snow layer during germination. If you are expecting more snow there, then you can ask for delay otherwise it's fine.
