Questionis there a good grass seed to help fill in your lawn from high traffic form kids & dogs making a path in the lamw i live in colo springs colo thanks for any help rob
AnswerRobert:
If the grass is worn down by traffic, the only remedy of which I can think is to thicken it by overseeding and fertilizing. Nothing I know of can replace traffic damaged turf except a walk or artifical turf.
Get started now or when temperatures are favorable. You probably have to use Kentucky bluegrass, which takes a month to germinate. You can use fescue, which requires two weeks.
Fertilize or topdress with a high quality, professional grade compost at 3/8 inch, one cubic yard per thousand square feet of lawn.
Best wishes.
