I have an irregular backyard that I want to level out and replant grass. What is the math formula for calculating how much fill is needed? My home lot is 1/3 acre. I don't have the exact measurements. Once I determine the square feet of the lawn space, what is the formula for raising it and covering the area?

   First you need to calculate length and breadth og your lawn. Formula is very simple. If you want one inch thick layer of soil fill then you need (cubic feet)= Lenght X Breadth x 1/12 (all in feet). That the payload you need for your lawn
