QuestionHi. Hope you can help me. I just installed new St. Augustine sod on my house. But as soon as I put it down it started turning brown. I had a lot of problem trying to save the grass. I live in Florida and the weather has been really dry this year. I tried to water the lawn as much as possible. Now there are some areas that died already but I'm trying to save the the one that is still worth saving. The area that I say has died is really brown and the roots are also. I looks like is dead but it is still strong but the top is brown and dead. I don't know what to do to save my grass. I can send you pics of it if it helps. Hope you can help.
AnswerHi Charles
There is nothing wrong as you told me that you just installed. In this scenario this is very common. You just need to irrigate evenly. If possible apply scott 14:14:14 NPK complex fertilizer so that your sod get continues supply of fertilizer or you can even spray it @ 0.1% solution.Maintain continues moisture. That's it.
