QuestionI live in London, England (rainy, chilly etc). I inherited a house a few years ago, lawn suffering from compaction, incredibly hard as rock. I purchased equipment to break the ground up and attempt a lawn. After a few years of this the ground is getting no better and we needless to say have no lawn still. What do you recommend?

AnswerHi Elliot
You can get a good lawn.First I will recommend you to get soil test report of your soil from near by agri. deptt. Only you need to soft your lawn soil. I recommend you to add course sand and compost 50:50 and add some gipsum for 2 inch thick layer and mix it with your ground soil. Level it and arrange your drainage accordingly. Spread the locally well adapted grass seed or you can use sods. Your lawn will be ready. All your query and questions are welcomed.
