QuestionQUESTION: what can i do to make my lawn good again because i put scotts fetalizeron the back of the lawn and it turned yellow and died can you help me
ANSWER: Don:
I am sorry you lost your back lawn. Take a deep breath and consider reseeding.
I do not know where you are located or what type of turf you have.
If you applied fertilizer during the recent drought in the south, it is possible that your lawn suffers from fertilizer chemical burning the plant tissue. Reseeding should give you a new start.
Best wishes.

QUESTION: i live in chilliwak bc and i used scott winterized fertilier and i followed the derictions and the front lawn
is green and doing well so there must be something wromg with the back soil or something because i used the ferilizer on both of the lawns
ANSWER: Don:
The only reason I can think of is that the fertilizer was too much for the lawn, too high an application or analysis. Scotts fertilizer with Winterguard has a 24-3-12 N P K analysis. If too much nitrogen was spread on the back lawn, it may have burned the plants.
If you have doubts about the back yard, have a soil analysis done to see if there are any problems. You may also, at the same time, have a plant tissue anaylsis done on some of the grass plants. This test will reveal any imbalance in the leaves or roots.
You can reseed if there are no soil problems to correct.
Best wishes.

QUESTION: once i lie the seed down how many times do you water the lawn
AnswerDon:
Water so that you lawn gets one inch of water per week. This can be once to twice per week. Measurement can be with a meat or vegetable tin can.
I would stop asking questions and plant. The weather may get too cold very soon in Canada.
