QuestionI am trying to level a section of my backyard. My a/c drains there and it seems that it creates mud that doesn't go away and grass will not grow there either. I have added an attachment hose so it will drain some where else. My question is, should I wait for the mud to dry before I add new topsoil or can I go ahead and add new topsoil now with grass seeds and fertilizer? Thanks for your help.
AnswerWilliam:
If the drain line is installed and moving water away from the unit, I would put in the topsoil. As you add it, mix it with the wet soil to break up any puddle that may have formed. The rest should wick away through the new soil. Plant seed and fertilize. The moisture issue is already solved.
Best wishes.
