QuestionHow do you test a lawn for grubs?
AnswerEasy.
Look for a tan area that you suspect has been attacked and damaged. Check a GREEN region adjacent to the tan area, NOT just the tan area of Grass. When there are a lot of Grubs, the soil lifts easily, like a plush green rug.
Note please: EVERY HEALTHY LAWN has SOME Grubs.
They just don't have a lot of them.
The best way to give yourself a Grub problem is to treat your Lawn with something that kills all their natural predators.
There are so many things out there that destroy Grubs, it's practically a miracle they are not extinct!
A few Grubs are not a problem. And your Birds love them. I find them here and there and I place them in the Bird Feeder for tomorrow's breakfast. Birds are your best Grub control around.
Lots of other things can make a Lawn sick. Grubs are RARELY a problem. Make sure you have a PROBLEM before you treat for them. If you THINK it's a problem, write back and let me know. We'll discuss it and come up with a solution that won't hurt anything except the Grubs.
Thanks for writing. Nice to meet you, Alfonso.
