QuestionI have never planted anything until last weekend I put some wax leaf begonias in the bed in front of my house. I'm in south Texas and was told that the bronze leafed begonias do well in the sun. They are in the sun from about 11 until sunset. They are dying. The leaves are looking kind of moldy then curl and shrivel. I want to stay organic for my family and the earth's safety. Any suggestions for keeping them healthy?
By the way. I read the tip about sugar on the St augustine grass and I am very excited to try it!
AnswerHi Audrey;
A long time ago I planted some of those bronze leaved begonias, because I was told the ones with bronze leaves would take full sun.
The sun did them in right away.
I would think you should polant them where they get morning sun, but afternoon shade.
I never had any luck growing begonias outside. I had better luck growing them ondoors in the east windows, where they got morning sun only.
