QuestionWe have large flagstones around our pool with grass between the stones. It looks beautiful in the spring and then the grass rots during the summer. I it is in direct sun and water tends to accumulate between the stones due to the impervious surface. We began this project with sod last June. That died and i removed all of it and filled and leveled with topsoil. I then planted with rebel. It came out great and then it began to rot in the middle spots farthest from the stones. Spacing is no more than 4 ". I mixed par3 rye into compro and overseeded. it looked great ina week and then died off a week later. We are in Maryland near the Chesapeake bay. I am at my wits end.
AnswerYou didn't tell me if this Grass is being splashed or not -- how much are you using this pool? What is the level of Chlorine in the water? And when you say that water accumulates 'due to the impervious surface', are you telling me the Grass is growing on an impervious surface? rsvp -- Thanks!
