Question
I read a your very useful exchange on natural lawn growth and use of white clover.  I also followed the links you gave to compare Black Medic (which I thought was beneficial clover) to white clover.  The descriptions says that Black Medic is a legume!  Doesn't that mean it is nitrogen-fixing, just like the white clover?  So why isn't that good for my lawn?

I don't want to start trying to control it until I am very certain it is bad, because I thought it was good!

That must have been another expert. I have never heard of Black Medic, and have no idea what it is, and I hve never advised anything about white clover.
One questioner wrote me that she used white clover.
To me, white clover is one of the weeds that using sugar and going on organics, chased out of my yard.
I'm sorry, but I have never heard of it, and can't give you any advice about it.
