QuestionWe live just north of Houston, Texas, and our lawn is St. Augustine grass. Within a matter of a few cloudy, rainy days, (if that matters) our entire lawn of St. Augustine grass has turned yellow. If you rake the grass with your fingers, you will have a handful of grass. This is not in patches. It's the entire lawn. We have noticed many snails on the porch and patio in the mornings. It looks like the blades of grass are falling off right above the root. Any suggestions on what this might be and what we can do. It seems to have happened very rapidly, just when our lawn was looking great.
AnswerHi Tom;
Probably brown patch fungus.
Apply about 15 pounds horticulture corn meal per 1000 sq.ft of lawn and garden.
You won't have to water it ion. We are getting enough water in Texas.
I am in Irving, Dallas County, and it rained again today.
It rains every day or at night.
I know, in August we will be praying for some of it to come back, but for now,,,,,,
ENOUGH ALREADY!!!! LOL
Last summer's heat and drought did away with a lot of my toads, so I have some Escargo all over the place if someone ests them.LOL
They are HUGE!!!!!
